We are all expecting the news of Palantir being awarded a £360M NHS deal that should come any day now, and that deal should make the entire UK public health system run on Foundry (for the benefit of British patients and taxpayers, I might add).
But, at the same time, we have already seen Palantir argue one of their biggest clients is the NHS, so even if they don’t win that specific contract there’s no customer to lose, right? Not entirely so. Palantir x NHS is a reality, but their use of Foundry is not for the “Federated Data Platform” the £360M deal would award our company, but rather for covid data management and more specifically for vaccine tracking.
Palantir also announced a work with select UK Hospitals to reduce waiting lists and effectively improve the health of British patients. These Hospitals are Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Trust and they saw a 28% reduction in this key metric.
The thing is, are there just 2 NHS Hospitals running Foundry in the UK? The answer is no. And here is where our precious links do their part. For some months now, in an almost weekly rate, Palantir has been adding new NHS links and we have a long list of institutions that are using Foundry or have access to it (and might be waiting on the deal to be announced).
We are not talking about half a dozen of new health centers… But I’m counting 45 NHS Hospitals. And let me repeat, new ones are added almost by the week. Bear in mind there are other UK links associated with the NHS that are not necessarily Hospitals, but rather companies and Government organizations that are linked to the well functioning of the healthcare system there. Of course DataBase subscribers can see every individual NHS Hospital and institution using Foundry.
*45* Let that sink in. It’s an impressive amount of new data being analyzed through Foundry and 22x what Palantir has publicly acknowledged to have with the NHS.
The fact of the matter is even without the FDP contract, Palantir already bears much of the UK healthcare system and Hospitals. And ask yourself, wouldn’t it be strange to have 45 Hospitals using Foundry, adding more every week, and all of this just to lose this big contract? I think we can all agree Palantir isn’t just well positioned to win this, but is already working to deliver the Federated Data Platform the NHS so desperately needs.
Reading your substack feels like watching inside Palantir.
Great one Either!
Amazing content.
I operate a small machining business in Sweden and my biggest customer started using Foundry a year ago. Picture this; their profitmargin grew from a historic 8% to 12% over a year. Insane.
