Palantir & the War in Ukraine: The Links
An updated look into Foundry Gov's work in the War, new links and new data
Palantir is helping Ukraine defend itself. It’s a fact and quite well documented by now. Every day more and more qualified voices join in describing Gotham as a primary reason why Ukraine is not only not losing this war, but striking back and hitting hard.
In October I wrote about how Palantir was helping in the war and through which links was help being provided to the Ukrainians. Lithuania and Romania have been aiding the invaded country, but Poland has been the main player, with up to 3 different access pages to Foundry for Governments, mainly to manage war refugees. And although this isn’t strictly new information, I’m happy to report we have more to share.
One of the codenames is Pomocdlaukrainy2 and I’ve been digging and trying different email formats, and one just worked. We are talking about COI (Central Information Technology Center in English), a Polish Government IT department.
And as their website states, they are implementing “ambitious projects, acting for the Chancellery of the Prime Minister” of Poland. And how do we know it’s to help Ukraine and not any other Polish project? Well, because Pomocdlaukrainy translates to Help for Ukraine. It confirms our thesis from 3 months ago, and this is good for Palantir and for the Ukrainians.
Aside from that, there are new codenames in Foundry Gov, but they are either from a different region of the world or I can’t directly link them to the efforts in Ukraine, although European. But there is one Foundry codename that caught my attention, and that is corn.
To begin with, it’s a Polish-based link, and that is a first major hint. The other thing I want to mention, on that note, is the fact that the war against Ukraine is damaging the country’s agricultural exports in a dramatic way. So Foundry would be handy there.
Ukraine is the 4th largest producer of corn, while Poland is responsible for just 0.81% of the exports. One could assume corn isn’t just a random word that has appeared in Foundry. The reality is Russia is jeopardizing corn and other grain exports from the Azov to the Black sea, and it looks like Palantir is helping in efficiently managing Ukraine’s crops and their exports in this boycott situation.
Not long ago we had official confirmation that Palantir software was being used by some Ministries and even the PM’s office of Poland. We already see Romania and Lithuania with official Palantir links to help Ukraine and just the other day we saw SkyKit for the first time. It’s all happening, and we couldn’t be better positioned to see it unfold.
On a final note and maybe as a curiosity, but also with the certainty that it’s directly linked to Gotham and using their capabilities suited for war as described in the Washington Post article, there is a Ukrainian link that redirects to their own Ministry of Defense war system, and it’s called Delta. You can access it here: delta.mil.gov.ua/
We know what Palantir does in the commercial world. We know only the results of their Gotham capabilities through the war in Ukraine and the countless acts of terrorism they help prevent. Wall Street says they have too much SBC and the rest of the world hasn’t heard of Palantir. We can only wait.
Excited to see these developments! From the financials we saw there was in increase in gov clients... now we know what’s happening there.
Great job Either!
