Anduril Confirms IPO Plan. What's Next?
Palmer Luckey was interviewed after CNBC named the company the number one in their Disruptor 50 List. Commercial will be Anduril's next big thing.
Amidst this new storm of positive exposure, the question will arise “What does Anduril do?”. Those of us who were active in the Palantir community well before the stock rose to the recent all time highs have been faced by the same question from people critical of the company, mainstream media and even those that dared to short the stock. They didn’t want to understand the company or what they did. They didn’t care what Palantir stood for. In the end, these people and their arrogant attitude yielded fatal outcomes, especially to those that shorted the stock.
So, what does Anduril do? They essentially exist to advance the delivery of the necessary means to deter the enemy, to prevent war and to guarantee the survival of the West and reestablish its dominance. Their approach is to deliver autonomous systems for the defense of America and its allies. The current wokeness that is still dominating the West needs deterrence, and to combat it there’s been a cultural shift that originated in America (but outside of the Valley), with the average voter embracing it and the left preoccupied with spreading anti-Western values, still believing feelings are more important than facts (they even seem to want to die on that hill). Because of this whole political and cultural landscape, there’s a need for a technological revolution, we need products that do the job that no one that wants to win an election wants to do, not in these times.
The cost to try and change the mindset of hundreds of millions of people living primarily in Europe and America is just too high, and time doesn’t play in our favor. That’s why we need the software that Palantir delivers and the package of autonomous solutions that Anduril can produce.
About 2 weeks ago we all saw Mark Zuckerberg and Palmer Luckey posing for a photograph, putting a symbolic end to what began after the 2016 US presidential election. They partnered to “design, build, and field a range of integrated XR products that provide warfighters with enhanced perception and enable intuitive control of autonomous platforms on the battlefield.”
This doesn’t only represent a radical change in strategy for Meta, opening up government business in an area where giants like Google previously declined to do work in (and what ultimately resulted in a Palantir win), but this also means Anduril is getting exposure and the know-how for future endeavors in the commercial arena.
Recent data has shown an early interest of Anduril products to be available for commercial use. This is a big positive if we take into account their intentions to go public, which is becoming more likely by the day, especially after Palmer Luckey’s interview on CNBC’s Closing Bell Overtime, a couple of days ago.
The fact that they are putting so much time and resources into building a hyperscale manufacturing facility in Ohio means they are preparing for a boom in business. It’s very exciting when you see a company so obviously well positioned in their own industry but at the same time looking to expand from government exclusive work to also offering commercial solutions. This is essentially good for business and good for the West.
“Anduril is investing nearly $1 billion of its own dollars into the development of Arsenal-1 and will bring more than 4,000 direct jobs in the largest single job-creation project in the state’s history.”

In the meantime, I’m keeping track of link data and will be delivering the Q2 report just after the month ends. There’s a couple of interesting trends I’ll highlight then, added to some international Anduril news I’ll add.
As a little treat to end this article, you can click on this link to preview a scaled down model of Arsenal-1 and project it in your living room using XR.
Very good article!
